You know, looking at the thing I posted below about the out of order words got me thinking. I have an issue where I tend to add to words that don't need to be added to. For example received an email today it said "I entered a customer complaint", the first 2 or 3 times I read it I read it as "I entertained a customer complaint". This got me to thinking that if we really base things off the shape of words rather then the context of them has my mind been corrupted by all the online lingo and acronyms. I mean when I see the phrase LOL it doesn't come to me as 3 letters my mind automatically says, laugh out loud. so I guess maybe this is carrying over to other words I read, I'm so used to unstuffing the compressed lingo of the internet my brain can't stop doing it. I'm pretty much in that first generation of kids that grew up with the internet and even through my junior high/ high school days it wasn't that big a part of my life. What about the kids younger then me who have used it every day of their lives, the ones that have never read a book just their AIM windows will they too be stuck adding letters on to words that don't need it?
